I was born in Madrid in 1977. Cartoons, animation in plasticine, puppets, models, airplanes, movie scripts - this was my world. I'll always remember as a kid, drawing all the time and making things such as puppets of many threads, planes to fly and looking for cardboard in the streets to build things. At 5 in my first year at school the teacher wanted to speak with my mother. I thought it was to tell her how bad I used to misbehave. However, the teacher showed her one of the many plasticine made characters I did and my mother was amazed by it. So much that she still keeps it with very much love until today. I tried many things in my life before returning to what has always been given to me in a natural way - to create things. I studied film direction, I was falconer and even a water ski monitor. One day, that need to create came back in such a strong message - “I want to do something with wood!”. And that's how it all started for me with my sculpture work. The process was given to me in a very natural way. I decided to go out looking for wood to built something. From there it came the first flies. And then, a chameleon who ate them. And so on, and on and on. A non-stop journey of self discoveries with new materials that would result in new shapes and forms. And so today, working on something can be from a couple days to spending more than half a year doing an exclusive piece. It all depends on the purpose such as sometimes the need of fulfilling architecture spaces as a commission. I take sculpture as a very powerful and nutritious routine in my life. There is a combination of very interesting disciplines that make it very complete such as design and architecture. Adding great doses of creativity and problem solving results on something that I actually have a great deal of fun while at it.
